Today I wrote something in my diary that stayed with me longer than I expected:
"Don’t sit back waiting for God… what if God is waiting for you?"
That single thought felt like a quiet wake-up call. For a long time, I believed that if I just waited patiently, everything would somehow fall into place. I told myself,
“When the time is right, things will happen.”But slowly I realized that faith was never meant to replace action it was meant to fuel it. This thought didn’t shake my belief. Instead, it deepened it.
Maybe faith isn’t about sitting still and hoping for miracles. Maybe it’s about moving forward with courage, trusting that your effort is part of the plan. What if the opportunities you’re praying for are already around you, waiting for you to take the first step?
I started looking at my life differently after that.
Every small action learning a skill, finishing a task, reaching out to someone, improving myself began to feel meaningful. It felt like I was responding to a silent invitation: Do your part.
There’s a strange comfort in knowing that belief and effort can walk together. Faith gives direction, but action creates momentum. When you combine the two, you stop feeling helpless and start feeling responsible for your own growth. And responsibility is powerful.
It doesn’t mean everything will be easy. It means you’re choosing to participate in your journey instead of watching it pass by. You begin to understand that waiting endlessly is not devotion living fully is.
So today, if you’re stuck waiting for the “right time,” consider this:
What if the right time is when you decide to move?
Take one step. Just one. Let your effort be your prayer in motion. Because sometimes, the breakthrough you’re waiting for is waiting for you to act. And that thought alone is enough to get up and begin.
